April 2018 General Operator Class

NOARC will offer again classes for the General license starting in April 2018.  Classes will be held on Monday nights, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, at the Bob Sikes Center of Northwest Florida State College,  805 E James Lee Blvd (Hwy 90, just east of Hwy 85) in Crestview, Florida.  Classes will be held on April 9, 16, 23, and 30,  and on May 7 and 14.  We anticipate offering an exam session shortly after completion of the course.

The classes are free and open to anyone.  Having a Technician license prior to the class is beneficial, but not a requirement.

If you are currently a Technician working primarily voice on VHF/UHF, and would like to explore the exciting world of DX (distance) contacts on the HF bands, come join us!  (And no, there is no longer a requirement to send and receive Morse Code for the General license.)

For questions, contact W4BZM, Mike Behr,  behrcave@gmail.com , or KA5DLV, Bruce Adams, badams138@yahoo.com.
