The North Okaloosa Amateur Radio Club, Inc. (NOARC) is a service organization located in Crestview, Florida. It has members from Santa Rosa, Walton, and Okaloosa Counties in Florida and Covington County, Alabama.  During the club’s history, members have supported the community numerous times by providing emergency communications and were often the only means of communication in and out of areas affected by disasters.  Club activities include participation each year in the American Radio Relay League sponsored Field Day event, hidden transmitter hunts, picnics, and hosting classes for all levels.  Our goal is to enjoy amateur radio and to introduce and promote the hobby to the public to ensure that there will always be a pool of well trained and well equipped hams ready to support our community when needed.

NOARC meets twice a month at Live Oak Baptist church in Crestview, FL.  The second Thursday of every month at 7:00PM is our monthly business meeting where we handle the official business of the club such as planning activities and reviewing income and expenses.  The fourth Thursday of every month at the same time and location is our monthly “tech night” where we really get down to the fun stuff and learn about all the different facets of amateur radio.  Both nights are a great opportunity to come out and meet fellow operators in our local area or get acquainted with the hobby if you’re brand new!  If you’d like to Join NOARC, simply fill out an application form and bring it to one of the meetings or you can mail it in.

A nightly net is also operated on the club’s 147.360 repeater at 8:00PM central time and is a great way to test out your equipment and say hello to your fellow hams.
